Why Journal?

"Illustrated journaling gives you a way to slow down and see your world clearly. It is a meditation on the blessings you have and forgot to count. It is a way of creating memories, of distilling down the moment."

Rubber Stamp Starter Set- See D's Dot to Dot Alphabet

Make some great titles in your journal with these Alphabet Stamps by See D's.

This is a starter set containing a 5 1/4" x 4" acrylic block, 30 alphabet stamps, stamping mat and instructions with hints and tips for various techniques.

  • Choose the letters you require to make up your word
  • Align them on the acrylic block remembering that you will need to position the letters in reverse for the word to spell correctly when stamped
  • The letters will cling to the acrylic block as they are backed with a repositionable adhesive
  • Ink your stamps, this can be done in two ways -
Using an ink pad - simply turn the acrylic block with the stamps on it upside down and tap the inkpad over the raised surface of the stamps, making sure you do not get ink on any of the surrounding rubber.
Using marker pens, such as the Zig Calligraphy set, this has the advantage that you can apply parts of the letter with different colours.  When the letters are fully inked, just 'huff' on the stamps to add a little moisture before stamping.
  • Always do a test print on spare paper to check the alignment of your letters, the rubber is trimmed close to the letter so it is easy to see where you are stamping through the acrylic block.
  • When you are happy with the positioning, re-ink if necessary and print in the desired position.
  • Clean your stamps after use - if you are using water-based markers, or dye pads, you can simply clean with a damp cloth or baby wipe (containing no alcohol as this can damage the rubber over time).  If you are using pigment ink or a permanent ink you will need a specialist stamp cleaner.

After use, store your stamps back in the CD case, which can be kept in a standard CD rack for easy storage.

Also great for scrapbooking and card making
