Complete 4 or 5 entries of your Annual CPD Requirement of 9 Entries in Just One Enjoyable Day
It is now mandatory to complete and record at least 9 entries per year, three of which should be started at "Reflection". The records must be done on GPhC approved stationery, either paper based or on-line.
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (of GB) began (27 Aug 2009) to call for up to 20 pieces of evidence of your CPD from the previous 5 years. The General Pharmaceutical Council has taken on this role and they will be calling you every five years. If your records are not relevant, up to date or completed, a note will be made on the register at this stage. Later on it may become a fitness to practice issue and may be part of the re-validation process when it is introduced.
However, many pharmacists have complained of struggling to find the time to record your CPD. To help you overcome these problems we are running a series of CPD courses, each of which will cover aspects of four different areas: Clinical, Contract, Management and Communications. The courses will be on a Saturday or Sunday so you probably won't have to pay/find locum cover and will provide four/five certificates.
Each section will have its own record to ensure you have enough entries at the end of the year. You will fill in CPD records in the approved format on the course to save you the time and hassle of doing it when you get home.
The full cost will be £199.99 plus VAT, which is allowable against tax if you are self employed, so saving you up to 40% of the cost. Furthermore if you do not feel the course was worth the cost, you can have your money back!!
